Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Okoro (ranked 130 p4p, 122 weight class) and Karl Karjalainen (ranked 22 p4p, 21 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Okoro might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to TOP OF MY GAME. Kobe Okoro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karl Karjalainen!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okoro buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Karjalainen looks to throw the jab but Okoro is out of range.
Okoro looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Karjalainen throws out a loose jab but Okoro uses good head movement to avoid it.
Okoro thinks about countering with a head kick.
Karjalainen misses with a shot to the body
and Okoro counters with a series of strikes. Karjalainen will be more careful next time no doubt.

Karl Karjalainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karjalainen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Okoro counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Okoro cracks Karjalainen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Okoro has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Karjalainen to stand back up!
It looks like Karl Karjalainen has been cut.

Okoro quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Okoro looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Karjalainen throws a lazy right hand but Okoro sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Okoro appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Karjalainen lands with an uppercut that bounces Okoro off the cage and back into range.
Okoro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Karjalainen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Okoro throws a quick counter kick to the body but Karjalainen avoids it.
Karjalainen might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Karjalainen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Okoro stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Okoro was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

and Karjalainen counters with a straight right hand.
Karjalainen thuds his right hand into Okoro's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Karjalainen throws a looping overhand right but Okoro ducks down to avoid it.
Karjalainen lands with a good body shot.
Karjalainen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Okoro feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Karjalainen throws a lazy uppercut
and Okoro counters with a nice leg kick.
Okoro throws a lazy right hand but Karjalainen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Karjalainen looks to land a left hand but Okoro moved out of range nicely.
Karjalainen misses with an attempted mid kick.
Karjalainen swings widly with a right hand
and Okoro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That has opened up Karl Karjalainen's cut even more.
Okoro slips a straight right by Karjalainen.

Karjalainen throws a big shot that misses.
Karjalainen misses with a lunging right hand
and Okoro counters with a right hand to the body.
Karjalainen throws a hook to the side of Okoro's head but Okoro sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A counter left hand to the body from Okoro misses its target.
Nice jab there from Okoro.
Karjalainen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Karjalainen throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Okoro counters with an outside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Okoro takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kobe Okoro's cut is getting worse.
Karjalainen throws a shot from downtown. Okoro moves away and avoids it.
Okoro is looking to counter punch.
Okoro on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Okoro cracks Karjalainen with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Karjalainen looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Okoro finish him?
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kobe Okoro dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Okoro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Karjalainen throws a poor cross that misses
and Okoro counters with a lovely straight right hand!

letting Karjalainen counter with a right hand.
Karjalainen throws a lazy head kick
and Okoro counters with a crisp right hand that drops Karjalainen! Okoro lets Karjalainen back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Karjalainen is rocked!
Karjalainen throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Okoro crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Karl Karjalainen!
A very excited looking Karl Karjalainen rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
