Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Paulie Gualtieri!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bugg Nevans!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nevans slips under a jab from Gualtieri.
Nevans connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gualtieri momentarily.
Gualtieri fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Paulie Gualtieri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gualtieri avoids the body shot from Nevans.
Gualtieri lands with a straight right. Nevans didn't see that one coming.
Nevans throws the kick towards the body but Gualtieri avoids it.
Gualtieri lands with a shot to the body.
Gualtieri misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nevans.
Nevans pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gualtieri blocks a head kick by Nevans.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gualtieri. Nevans does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gualtieri takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Gualtieri misses with an uppercut.
Nevans wants to counter the offense by Gualtieri and move into the clinch position.
Gualtieri is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nevans.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gualtieri throws a body punch but Nevans moves out of range.
Gualtieri uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Gualtieri throws the left hand but Nevans avoids the punch easily.
Gualtieri throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nevans counters with a straight right hand.
Gualtieri ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nevans moves away.
Nevans throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gualtieri is looking to counter punch.
We've been told by Gualtieri's head coaches at Top of Food Chain that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Nevans misses with a hook to the body
and Nevans takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gualtieri takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nevans steps in with a hook that catches Gualtieri right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Nevans follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Gualtieri looks absolutely devastated.
