Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mehdi Kanaani (ranked 2140 p4p, 1934 weight class) and Sebastion Lynar (ranked 198 p4p, 180 weight class). Kanaani comes to the cage accompanied by Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Nuthin' But A G Thang. Mehdi Kanaani had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Sebastion Lynar told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanaani throws a leg kick but Lynar moved away.
A right-left combo lands from Lynar.
It looks like Mehdi Kanaani has been cut.

Kanaani throws a series of punches but Lynar avoids them all with ease.
Kanaani's corner calls for a 1-2. Kanaani obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Kanaani takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kanaani looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A low kick from Kanaani is predictable there
and Lynar counters by moving into the clinch.

Lynar throws a punch but it's blocked by Kanaani.
Lynar prevents Kanaani from breaking the clinch.

Kanaani stops a takedown attempt from Lynar.
Kanaani has Lynar pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kanaani pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lynar tumbling to the mat - Kanaani dives into Lynar's guard.

Lynar is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kanaani frees his head nicely. Oh but Lynar has switched to an armbar! Kanaani is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Sebastion Lynar tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
