Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rinya Nakamura (ranked 1256 p4p, 2142 weight class) and Puenglong Sitsongrit (ranked 93 p4p, 131 weight class). Rinya Nakamura has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Puenglong Sitsongrit!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sitsongrit smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Nakamura doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sitsongrit counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sitsongrit connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rinya Nakamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nakamura fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sitsongrit sprawls well initially but Nakamura persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Sitsongrit lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nakamura gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nakamura throws a series of punches but Sitsongrit avoids them all with ease.

Sitsongrit has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Nakamura looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
