Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Crusher (ranked 300 p4p, 328 weight class) and Harrison Kiely (ranked 39 p4p, 45 weight class). Harrison Kiely told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Crusher ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harrison Kiely! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Francis DeMontford and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Crusher takes one to the side of the head.
Kiely misses with a jab to the body
so Crusher counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kiely is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kiely is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Our spies down at at Rabid Dog inform us that Kiely has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Crusher with a flurry of punches that miss. Crusher lands a couple of elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crusher won't allow Kiely to sweep him here. Kiely throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Crusher stopping the sweep attempt from Kiely. Kiely is trying to control the position but Crusher postures up. Kiely looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crusher is one step ahead there. Crusher being controlled here momentarily. Kiely bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crusher 's guard. Kiely slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Crusher keeping moving, preventing Kiely from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crusher looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kiely puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Kiely seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kiely wants to free his trapped foot but Crusher is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kiely is trying to work for a kimura but Crusher is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kiely lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Crusher counters with a shoot takedown. Kiely fights it but they end up in guard. Crusher stopping the sweep attempt from Kiely. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Crusher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kiely swivels though and keeps the full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kiely holds on and takes a little breather. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jack Crusher will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Kiely throws a body shot but no joy. Crusher on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Kiely throws a hook to the side of Crusher 's head but Crusher sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. As Kiely tries to get set, Crusher tries to push him back and clinch up but Kiely manages to avoid the attempt. Kiely throws an overhand right that lands on Crusher 's shoulder, as Crusher tries to avoid the shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Crusher . Crusher looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kiely throws a left and a right that both miss
and Crusher counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kiely! Kiely is looking to reverse the position. Crusher working the ground and pound. Crusher trying to control the action but Kiely is working from the bottom.

Jack Crusher overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crusher is in the full mount, landing strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kiely is looking to get to half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Kiely throws a right and a left that both miss. A lazy left from Kiely finds it's target. Crusher trying to control but Kiely is working from the bottom. Kiely is adopting a defensive guard. Kiely is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Crusher manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Crusher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kiely can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Crusher is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kiely sitting in guard here, content to control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kiely trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Harrison Kiely has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kiely drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Crusher dives on top into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Crusher . Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crusher , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
