Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Draconis (ranked 655 p4p, 2748 weight class) and Fiddle Sticks (ranked 86 p4p, 306 weight class). Sticks has chosen Pantera: Walk as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tommy Draconis has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Draconis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fiddle Sticks! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Draconis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sticks.
Sticks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Draconis tries to avoid it but Sticks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Draconis to the ground. Draconis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Draconis changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Sticks gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sticks is looking for a triangle but Draconis pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sticks has his foot on Draconis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Draconis works his way back into a safe position though. Sticks keeping full guard, as Draconis tries to pass. Sticks keeping moving, preventing Draconis from controlling successfully. Sticks had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Draconis defends it easily. Draconis has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Draconis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Draconis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Our spies down at at Dynamic MMA inform us that Sticks has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Sticks looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Draconis has picked Sticks up and slammed him! Sticks can't keep hold of the triangle and Draconis manages to pass to side control! Sticks tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sticks is not content to let Draconis control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Draconis takes a little break here. Sticks wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Sticks gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Sticks actively working from the bottom here. Sticks looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sticks is defending against the submission attempts here by Draconis.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Draconis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Draconis wants to control but Sticks is keeping him busy. Sticks is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Draconis is tapping! Great win for Sticks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Fiddle Sticks! Fiddle Sticks spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. Tommy Draconis was interviewed post fight and said 'This fight was really short notice, only a few days. My manager screwed the pooch here. It's no wonder I lost. It has to be someone else's fault! I'm the shit!'.
