Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Isopaa Hunter!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Akimbo Spice Chai Jr!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chai Jr swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hunter lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Chai Jr throws a looping overhand right but Hunter ducks down to avoid it.
Hunter tests Chai Jr's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Akimbo Spice Chai Jr has been cut.
Hunter misses with an uppercut
letting Chai Jr counter with a right hand.
Hunter lands a nice shot that snaps Chai Jr's head back.
Chai Jr takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chai Jr connects with a nice looking jab.
Hunter lets loose with a powerful body kick. Chai Jr will feel that in the morning.
Chai Jr throws a head kick that misses
and Hunter counters with a stiff right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunter feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Chai Jr sprawling to the canvas! Chai Jr rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hunter finish him?!
Hunter drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Chai Jr right on the button. Chai Jr goes down! Hunter follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Hunter gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Isopaa Hunter!
Isopaa Hunter retains his heavyweight title!
