Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Santoro (ranked 185 p4p, 1602 weight class) and T Mustana Chai (ranked 23 p4p, 184 weight class). Santoro comes into the arena with WEIGHT ON ME blaring out of the sound system. T Mustana Chai has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Santoro! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, T Mustana Chai! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chai fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Santoro on the side of the head. Chai dips down and scores with a jab to the body. We've been told by Santoro's head coaches at Convicted Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Chai getting the better of the striking in that exchange. T Mustana Chai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Santoro uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chai. Chai throws a poor cross that misses
and Chai takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like T Mustana Chai has been cut. Chai misses with a lunging right hand
and Santoro counters with a crisp right hand that drops Chai! Santoro lets Chai back up to his feet, looking for a finish! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chai looks to land a right hand but Santoro moved out of range. A little feinted left hand from Santoro on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Santoro takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Chai throws an off balance right hand
and Santoro counters with a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chai missing with a left hand there. Santoro was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Santoro throws a quick counter head kick but Chai was just out of range. Chai throws a shot from downtown. Santoro moves away and avoids it. As Chai looks to move away, Santoro throws a big counter combo but Chai just gets out of the way. Chai listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Chai misses with a lunging right hand
and Santoro counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Chai swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Santoro counters with a left to the body. Chai throws a lazy uppercut
and Santoro counters with a nice body kick. Chai looks winded! Santoro misses with a hook
and Chai counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chai misses with a lunging right hand
and Santoro counters with a good low kick that Chai was not able to check. Chai throws an off balance right hand
and Santoro counters with a nice right hand that sends Chai toppling to the canvas! Chai scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Santoro finish him?!
Chai is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A nice leg kick from Santoro, right into the meat of the thigh.
Chai misses with a wild body shot. Santoro seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Chai swings for the body but Santoro moves out of range.

and Santoro counters with a crisp right that sends Chai to the canvas! Santoro follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tommy Santoro! Tommy Santoro retains his middleweight title! An out of breath Tommy Santoro thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
