Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronan Harvey (ranked 4166 p4p, 2949 weight class) and Clayton Price (ranked 449 p4p, 335 weight class). Clayton Price has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronan Harvey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clayton Price! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harvey avoids it really well and circles away. Harvey fails with the takedown. Price darts in looking for a takedown but Harvey gets double underhooks and turns Price into the cage. Price fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ronan Harvey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clayton Price. Price closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Harvey's guard. Price preventing the sweep. Harvey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Harvey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Price knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harvey keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Price is concentrating on defense, preventing Harvey from advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harvey tries to pass to full mount but Price defends it. Price is defending against the submission attempts here by Harvey.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harvey is keen to just control but Price is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Harvey is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Price is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Price trying to control here.
Harvey is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Price is trying to get back to full guard. Price controlling the position for now. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Harvey is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Price sees it coming and defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harvey looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Price shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Harvey as he jumps to the side. Price shoots in for a takedown but Harvey shows good takedown defense. No luck for Price with that takedown attempt. Harvey attempts a counter takedown but Price avoids it well and moves away. Harvey stuffs the takedown attempt from Price. Price gets slowly back to his feet. Price keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Harvey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Harvey just content to control the position. Price wants to control but Harvey postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harvey remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Harvey has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Harvey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harvey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Price struggling a bit here. Harvey is looking to take a break and control but Price is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Harvey taking a breather here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ronan Harvey dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! No luck with that takedown attempt from Harvey. Harvey shoots in but Price avoids the takedown attempt easily. Harvey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Price but Price pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronan Harvey. That's going to take a lot out of him. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Harvey is defended easily by Price. Price is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Harvey still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Harvey has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Harvey tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Price is looking for a sweep. Harvey moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Price tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Harvey stalls from top position. Harvey is trying to get an arm triangle but Price is defending well. Price can't do much from the bottom here. Harvey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Price keeps working. Harvey working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Price manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Price wants to control but Harvey is keeping him busy. Price is trying to work for a kimura but Harvey is defending well.

Price has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at New York Public Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Harvey moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Price wants to control from the top but Harvey keeps moving. Harvey seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Clayton Price showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Harvey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Price's waist but Price gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Harvey off to one side. Price changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Harvey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Price wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harvey keeps working. Price goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Harvey has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Price but great work by Harvey. Harvey is looking to take a break and control but Price is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Price is looking to reverse the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Price is not content to let Harvey control the position. Price struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harvey has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Price! Price tries to reverse the position but Harvey maintains control. Harvey trying to control but Price is having none of it. Harvey controlling the position easily from mount. Price is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Harvey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Harvey drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Harvey jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Price controls Harvey momentarily but Harvey frees himself. Price has his foot on Harvey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harvey works his way back into a safe position though. Harvey looking to pass the guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Price misses with a takedown attempt and Harvey counters with a stiff right hand. Harvey shoots for a double leg takedown but Price sprawls well. He's pushed Harvey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Price fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harvey avoids it really well and circles away. Harvey swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Price feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Harvey lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Price seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Harvey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Price's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Harvey takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Price won't allow Harvey to pass to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ronan Harvey. Well Harvey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
