The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zimmerman tries a low kick but Knox avoids it.
Knox feinted with a counter takedown.
Nice jab there from Zimmerman.
We've been told by Knox's head coaches at Ironbound MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Knox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Zimmerman throws a body punch but Knox moves out of range.
Knox has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Knox there as he acknowledges the shot.

Zimmerman feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Knox sprawling to the canvas! Knox rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Zimmerman finish him?!

Knox throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zimmerman shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Zimmerman throws out a loose jab but Knox uses good head movement to avoid it.
Zimmerman throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Knox counters with a three punch combo that has Zimmerman backing up. Zimmerman nods at Knox to acknowledge the strikes.

Knox drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Zimmerman is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Knox had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Zimmerman cracks Knox's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Knox slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Zimmerman can do further damage! This one is done, son!
