Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Santos (ranked 2638 p4p, 2971 weight class) and Edwin Irving (ranked 310 p4p, 327 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Giovanni Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edwin Irving! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos throws a series of punches but Irving avoids them all with ease. Irving walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Santos checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Santos throws a series of punches but Irving moves out of range. Santos backing away here, and Irving unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Santos pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Santos throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Irving blocks it with crossed arms. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Irving softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Santos is trying to break free. Irving scores with a nice hook to the head. A short right from Irving. Good body shot from Irving.
Santos is breathing heavily. Irving lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Irving scores with an uppercut up the middle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Santos tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Irving avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Irving throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Santos takes a shot to the head. A hook to the body from Irving.
Irving working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Irving lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Irving's coach down at Punchin N\' Chockin was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Irving's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Irving makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Irving working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Santos is rocked! Irving unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Santos! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Irving is unloading with more strikes now! Santos drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edwin Irving! A relieved looking Edwin Irving thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
