Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reñan Silva (ranked 2486 p4p, 3265 weight class) and Marcus Vellitis (ranked 246 p4p, 309 weight class). Silva's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, “Ak Do Flamego”. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reñan Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Vellitis! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vellitis slips a straight right by Silva. And Vellitis tries to counter it with a takedown but Silva pushes his down on his head and steps out. Vellitis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Silva is looking to slow Vellitis down with leg kicks. Vellitis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Silva counters with a nice uppercut. Vellitis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. It looked like Silva was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Vellitis. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vellitis shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vellitis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Reñan Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Vellitis.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vellitis with a lazy takedown attempt and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Marcus Vellitis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vellitis misses with a left hand and Silva counters with a left and a right that stings Vellitis. Vellitis has his takedown stuffed and Silva counters with a slapping leg kick. Vellitis throws a left and a right that both miss
and Silva counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Vellitis throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely. Silva thinks about countering with a body kick. Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Silva misses with a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Some bone on bone action there as Vellitis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Vellitis has his takedown stuffed and Silva counters with a body kick. A bone on bone clash there as Vellitis blocks the leg kick.
Vellitis throws out a loose jab but Silva uses good head movement to avoid it. Nice straight punches there by Silva. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Silva. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vellitis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Silva keeping full guard, as Vellitis tries to pass. Silva looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Vellitis has picked Silva up and slammed him! Silva can't keep hold of the triangle and Vellitis manages to pass to side control! Vellitis wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy. Vellitis tries to advance to mount but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vellitis trying to control the position but Silva is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vellitis tries for a kimura but Silva is defending well. Silva is trying to control Vellitis's posture but Vellitis avoids it. Vellitis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Vellitis tries to move to mount but Silva blocks the move with his legs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vellitis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vellitis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Reñan Silva dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Vellitis swinging wildly here.
Vellitis on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Silva darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Reñan Silva is winning the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva connects with a body shot. Vellitis misses with a few strikes there.
It looked like Silva was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. An inside leg kick from Silva misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vellitis misses with a double jab.
It looked like Silva was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Vellitis. Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vellitis sees it coming and avoids it easily. Silva throws a hook but Vellitis blocks it. Vellitis shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Vellitis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A counter left hand to the body from Silva misses its target. Vellitis misses with a combination
and Silva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Vellitis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vellitis shoots and misses and Silva counters with a nice body shot. Reñan Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Vellitis. Silva catches Vellitis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Reñan Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Vellitis misses with a looping left. As Vellitis backs away, Silva returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Silva punishes Vellitis's body with a nice straight punch. Vellitis avoids the body shot from Silva.
Vellitis takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vellitis shoots and misses and Silva counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Vellitis thinking. Vellitis throws a combination that misses and Silva counters with a nice body shot. Marcus Vellitis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Silva finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Silva lands a leg kick that knocks Vellitis off balance momentarily. Silva scores with a leg kick.
Vellitis throws a lazy uppercut
and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A jab lands there for Vellitis.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vellitis shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense. Vellitis tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily and Silva counters with a slapping leg kick. Vellitis fails with the takedown. Silva is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A solid body kick from Silva. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Reñan Silva dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vellitis is defended easily by Silva. Vellitis checks a low kick from Silva. Vellitis waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Silva. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vellitis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. As Vellitis backs away, Silva returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. A big left from Vellitis misses. Silva was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Vellitis throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. Silva appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Vellitis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Silva to counter with a crisp jab. Marcus Vellitis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Silva counters with an inside leg kick. Vellitis shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Silva connects with a body shot. Silva punishes Vellitis's body with a nice straight punch. A punch lands to the side of Vellitis 's head but he takes it in his stride. Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Silva slips a jab and a cross from Vellitis.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva looks to land a combination. Vellitis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Vellitis takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Silva turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silva does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Silva scores with a nice right hand.
Silva is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vellitis can do to turn this around? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vellitis throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Vellitis bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
And that's the end of the fight! Reñan Silva showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
