Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wille Thai (ranked 78 p4p, 257 weight class) and Kwawi Mumba (ranked 14 p4p, 35 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 37 - 23 - 0, fighting out of London, Wille Thai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kwawi Mumba! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mumba throws a jab when Thai was well out of range. Mumba ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thai moves away. Kwawi Mumba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slow jab from Mumba misses its intended target. Thai tried to counter with a leg kick but Mumba avoided it. Mumba misses with a double jab.
Thai uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mumba. Thai half committed to a counter leg kick. Thai slips under a jab from Mumba. Thai feinted with a counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mumba throws a body shot but no joy. Thai clinches up with Mumba and pushes him back against the cage. Mumba escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mumba stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mumba wants it to stay on the feet. Mumba cracks Thai with an open hand slap.
It looks like Wille Thai has been cut. Mumba misses with a hook. Thai ducked under it nicely. Thai changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Thai sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mumba's guard. Thai is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mumba defends it well. Thai is working for a submission of some sort.

That sent Thai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Mumba fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thai manages to avoid it. Thai drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mumba sprawls and moves away. Mumba misses with a wild body shot. Thai tries to counter with a takedown but Mumba is quick to defend against it. Mumba throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Thai feinted with a counter takedown.
