Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rod Polamalu (ranked 2550 p4p, 3167 weight class) and Lingo Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Rod Polamalu has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rod Polamalu seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rod Polamalu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Lingo Rex!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rex tries to land a leg kick but Polamalu saw it coming and moves away.
Rex swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rex.
Rex ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Polamalu moves away.
Rex turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Polamalu moves out of range of the strikes.
Rex dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Polamalu. That did some damage!
Rex tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Polamalu throws out a loose jab but Rex uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rex lands with a shot to the body.
Polamalu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rex lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rex thows a left - swing and a miss!
Polamalu was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Polamalu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rex.
Polamalu appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Rex throws a body shot but no joy.
Polamalu throws a shot from downtown. Rex moves away and avoids it.
Nice straight punches there by Rex. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rex.
Rex jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A slow jab from Rex misses its intended target.
Polamalu gets cracked there but stands up to it.

and Rex counters with a nice uppercut.
Polamalu looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rex takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rex. Polamalu does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rex throws a shot from downtown. Polamalu moves away and avoids it.
Polamalu swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Rex lands a slapping body shot.
Lingo Rex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A swing and a miss from Polamalu.

and Polamalu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rex dips to his left and cracks Polamalu with an uppercut!
Rex is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Polamalu.
A jab from Polamalu misses.
A low kick from Polamalu is predictable there
and Rex counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rex lands a nice shot to the body.
Rex takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Rex scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Polamalu doesn't seem bothered though.
Rex throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A quick step to the side and Polamalu tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rex connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rex throws a hook to the side of Polamalu's head but Polamalu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rex avoids the body shot from Polamalu.
Rex let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Rex bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Polamalu avoids a kick to the body.
Rex scores with a body shot.
Polamalu tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rex throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Polamalu counters with a straight right hand.
The fighters circling - Rex throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Polamalu quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Rex pushes Polamalu away with a front kick.
A lazy body kick from Polamalu
and Rex counters with a good low kick that Polamalu was not able to check.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Polamalu takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Rex is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Polamalu had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Rex uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Polamalu.
Polamalu takes a shot right to the bread basket.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rex throws a chopping leg kick but Polamalu manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Rex connects with a body shot that sends Polamalu's belly button to the back.
Rex lands a nice shot to the body.
Rex scores with a shot to the body.
Rex misses the jab.
Rex missing with a left hand there. Polamalu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Polamalu throws an overhand right that lands on Rex's shoulder, as Rex tries to avoid the shot.
Good leg kick by Rex.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lingo Rex dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rex throws the kick towards the body but Polamalu avoids it.
Lingo Rex seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Polamalu dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rex throws a lazy uppercut
and Polamalu counters with a big right hand! Oh Rex is in trouble here! Polamalu follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rod Polamalu!
Our winner, Rod Polamalu, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
