Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Duterte (ranked 584 p4p, 732 weight class) and Werewolf Night (ranked 79 p4p, 98 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Night's choice of entrance music: Mother- Danzig. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Night connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Rodrigo Duterte has been cut.
Duterte misses with a double jab.
Night looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Night has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Night there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Werewolf Night has been cut.
Night throws a poor cross that misses
and Duterte counters with a stiff right hand.
Duterte loads up on a big right hand but Night slips the punch.
Night moves out of range as Duterte throws a body kick.
Night throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Duterte sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Duterte drops Night with a nice combination! Duterte dives into Night's guard, looking to finish!
Night is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Duterte trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Night is still in real trouble! Can Duterte finish him?
Duterte postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Night seems to have recovered his senses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duterte has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Night wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Duterte goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Night rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Duterte's guard! Nice work there by Night!

Duterte isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Night stacks Duterte on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Night!
Duterte is looking to reverse the position.

Duterte moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Night gets to his feet - Duterte follows without any prompting.
Duterte avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Duterte throws a head kick that half lands.
That has opened up Werewolf Night's cut even more.
Duterte moves out of range as Night strikes.
Night with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Duterte to score with a decent uppercut.
The cut above Werewolf Night's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Duterte just misses with a punch to the body.
A countering left hand to the body from Night misses.
Night is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Duterte throws an overhand right that lands on Night's shoulder, as Night tries to avoid the shot.
Night throws a jab but it's blocked by Duterte.
Some wild striking there from Duterte.
Duterte takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Night lands a head shot.
Night misses with a two punch combination.
It looked like Duterte was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Night.
Duterte ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Night avoids a punch combination nicely.
A nice leg kick from Duterte, right into the meat of the thigh.

Night just misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Duterte moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Night goes down! Can Duterte finish him!?
Werewolf Night's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Werewolf Night's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rodrigo Duterte!
Rodrigo Duterte decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
