Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pate Boxeri (ranked 470 p4p, 2529 weight class) and Kyoji Horiguchi (ranked 41 p4p, 167 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kyoji Horiguchi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pate Boxeri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyoji Horiguchi! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boxeri misses with a straight left. Boxeri throws a sloppy head kick and Horiguchi moves out of range easily. Horiguchi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boxeri. Boxeri lands a nice looking body shot.
Boxeri scores with a hook to the body. Horiguchi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Horiguchi throws a poor cross that misses
and Boxeri counters with a stiff right hand. Boxeri connects with a body shot. Horiguchi misses with an uppercut. Boxeri dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Horiguchi needs to keep his hands up - Boxeri had a free shot at his head there. Boxeri lands with a hook. Horiguchi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boxeri's corner calls for a 1-2. Boxeri obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Horiguchi takes one to the side of the head.
Horiguchi is rocked! Boxeri lands with a nice body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horiguchi tries to clinch up. Horiguchi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boxeri throws out a powerful jab. Horiguchi takes one to the chin there. Horiguchi is still on wobbly legs! Can Boxeri finish him? Horiguchi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Horiguchi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Horiguchi throws out a counter right but Boxeri avoids it with no problem. Horiguchi seems to have recovered his senses. Boxeri feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Horiguchi sprawling to the canvas! Horiguchi rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Boxeri finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Horiguchi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Boxeri counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Boxeri scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Horiguchi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boxeri pounces like a tiger and cracks Horiguchi with a vicious hook! Horiguchi is down but not out! Boxeri follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Pate Boxeri! A victorious Pate Boxeri thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
