Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Francesco Monroe (ranked 1235 p4p, 988 weight class) and Ludko Struja Jr (ranked 169 p4p, 134 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Struja Jr's choice of entrance music: Wu-Tang Clan - C.R.E.A.M.. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ludko Struja Jr!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Struja Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Monroe moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Struja Jr. Monroe does a little dance to reset his feet.
Struja Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Struja Jr steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Monroe. That one must have hurt.
Monroe plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Ludko Struja Jr has been cut.
Monroe throws a series of punches but Struja Jr avoids them all with ease.
Monroe scores with the left hand. Struja Jr knows he should have avoided that one.
Struja Jr misses with a double jab.
Monroe misses with a wild combination.
Struja Jr just misses with a punch to the body.
Struja Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Struja Jr dodges the punch combination from Monroe.

and Monroe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Struja Jr throws a right and a left that Monroe avoids nicely.
Struja Jr swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A slow jab from Monroe misses its intended target.

We've been told by Monroe's head coaches at Outlier Martial Arts New York that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Monroe connects with a good right hand that stumbles Struja Jr. Struja Jr circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Struja Jr throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Monroe tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Struja Jr is in Monroe's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Struja Jr won't allow Monroe to get back to his feet.
Monroe controls Struja Jr momentarily but Struja Jr frees himself.

Struja Jr postures up in Monroe's guard and throws a big left but Monroe blocks it.

Monroe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Struja Jr clinches with his opponent.
Struja Jr keeps control of Monroe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Monroe is trying to maintain a safe position but Struja Jr gets an underhook and turns Monroe into the cage.
Struja Jr manages to break the clinch.
Monroe connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Struja Jr lands a nice hook to Monroe's body. Monroe takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Monroe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Struja Jr let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Monroe lands with a big left! Struja Jr is wobbled badly! Monroe comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Struja Jr to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
