Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Johnson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Key misses with a wild body shot.
We've been hearing reports that Key has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Key takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Johnson throws a hook to the side of Key's head but Key sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Johnson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Johnson is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Key off. It looks like it's working - Key slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Johnson displaying calm under pressure there.

Key has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Johnson is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Key presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Key manages to avoid it.
Johnson cracks Key with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Key displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Johnson throws out the jab.

Johnson unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Key! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Johnson is unloading with more strikes now! Key drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
