Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 21 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Samuel Sycek!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sycek changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Howard looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sycek scores with a couple of short elbows.

Howard tries to improve position but can't.
Sycek wants to lay and pray for a moment but Howard keeps working.
Howard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sycek wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sycek has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sycek is nestled in close to Howard, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sycek distracts Howard with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Howard is on top in guard.
Howard is fighting to break Sycek's control of his arms but Sycek is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

My spies in Brloh inform me that Sycek has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Howard is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sycek is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Howard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Howard's back!
