Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Flynn Knightley (ranked 468 p4p, 142 weight class) and Jim Bob Walton (ranked 41 p4p, 12 weight class). Flynn Knightley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Flynn Knightley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 8 - 2, fighting out of New York, Jim Bob Walton! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knightley checks the leg kick. Knightley darts in and clinches Walton up against the cage. Walton looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A head punch on the inside from Knightley fails to land. Walton prevents a body shot from Knightley. Knightley struggles to land a body shot inside as Walton controls his hands.
Walton breaks from the clinch.
Knightley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Walton. Walton misses with an attempted mid kick.
Knightley tries to clinch up. Knightley darts in looking for a takedown but Walton gets double underhooks and turns Knightley into the cage. Walton is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Knightley with a body shot. Knightley goes for a takedown attempt but Walton pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Knightley walks into a left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knightley darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Knightley takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Knightley blocks a head kick by Walton.
Knightley lunges at Walton with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Walton's hand. Knightley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Walton throws out the jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Walton swings for the body but Knightley moves out of range.
Knightley with a poor takedown and Knightley takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Flynn Knightley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walton connects with a body shot that sends Knightley's belly button to the back. Knightley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Walton. Knightley fails in his attempt to clinch. Knightley shoots and misses and Walton makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Walton, as that shot connected.
Knightley throws a hook but Walton avoids it easily. Walton clobbers Knightley with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A slow jab from Walton misses its intended target. Knightley fails in his attempt to clinch. Walton is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Knightley with a body shot. Walton's corner calls for a 1-2. Walton obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Walton connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Knightley's hands. Knightley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Knightley lands in his opponent's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Knightley looking to sit in guard and control but Walton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Knightley working a defensive guard but Walton manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walton controls the position from side control. Knightley is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Walton is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Knightley really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Walton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walton controlling his opponent. Walton trying to control but Knightley is having none of it. Walton is trying to control here but Knightley has managed to regain half guard.
Walton is looking to take a break and control but Knightley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Knightley trying to hold on to Walton's head to control him but Walton postures up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Walton tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Knightley is looking for a sweep. Walton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Walton tries to stand and escape but Knightley is controlling the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Bob Walton dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Knightley. Knightley misses with the ground and pound. Knightley working away. Knightley trying to control the action but Walton is working from the bottom. Jim Bob Walton has got the better of the ground game so far. Walton is working to avoid the ground and pound but Knightley connects with a decent elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knightley is trying to ground and pound but Walton uses the momentary lack of control by Knightley to regain half guard. Knightley throws a strike but Walton avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walton wants to get back to his feet but Knightley passes into half guard.
Knightley wants to control but Walton is keeping him busy. Walton makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Walton. Knightley is looking to work some ground and pound but Walton has wrist control. Knightley throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Knightley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walton is keeping the position for now. Knightley lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Walton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Knightley trying to control the position from guard on top but Walton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Knightley stopping the sweep attempt from Walton. Walton keeping moving, preventing Knightley from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Flynn Knightley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knightley looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Walton! Walton wants to get back to his feet but Knightley is dominant here and he's now got Walton's back! Knightley trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Knightley is riding his opponent, not letting Walton buck him off. Walton can't escape the position.
Walton is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Knightley off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knightley controls the position. Knightley wants to control the position but Walton frees himself and scrambles - Knightley manages to regain control in side control.
Knightley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walton keeps working. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Knightley working the ground and pound from side control. Knightley misses with an attempted head punch from side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Flynn Knightley dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Knightley throws out a loose jab but Walton uses good head movement to avoid it. Knightley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walton as he jumps to the side. Knightley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Walton defends well and Knightley ends up having to push Walton into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Walton breaks the clinch.

Walton fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Knightley on the side of the head. Walton has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Walton takes a swing at Knightley's ribcage but misses. Knightley drops down looking for a counter takedown but Walton sprawls and moves away. Walton wants to clinch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Knightley. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knightley shoots and misses and Walton counters with a straight right hand. Walton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Knightley appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Knightley takes a body punch but keeps moving. Knightley keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Knightley misses the target. Knightley scores with a nice head shot. Walton has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knightley is looking to clinch. Knightley fails with a takedown attempt. Knightley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Walton looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Walton throws a big shot that misses. Walton connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Walton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Knightley. Walton slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Knightley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Walton. Walton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Knightley moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Walton stuffs the takedown. Walton flicks out a counter leg kick but Knightley steps away. Walton just misses with a punch to the body.
Jim Bob Walton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Walton lands a nice hook to Knightley's body. Knightley takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Knightley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Knightley is keen to just control but Walton is a slippery customer. Knightley with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knightley wants to control but Walton is keeping him busy. Walton is looking to improve his position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Walton with a hook. Knightley keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Knightley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Walton keeps the fight on the outside. Knightley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Walton.
Walton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Knightley wants to clinch up but Walton keeps it at a distance. The fighters circling - Knightley throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Knightley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Knightley throws a sloppy body shot
and Walton counters with a stiff right hand. Knightley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Walton to the mat! Walton manages to get full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knightley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Walton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Walton has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Knightley throwing strikes but missing. Knightley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Walton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Bob Walton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Walton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
