Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bo Duran (ranked 7 p4p, 24 weight class) and Masa Saitoh (ranked 2 p4p, 5 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bo Duran!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Masa Saitoh!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Duran misses with a hook
and Saitoh counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've been told by Duran's head coaches at FIGHT FOUNDERS (CA) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Saitoh stuns Duran with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Duran throws a low kick but Saitoh avoids it.
Saitoh swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Duran misses the body punch
and Saitoh counters with a straight right hand.
Saitoh bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Duran's head backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Duran lets loose with a powerful body kick. Saitoh will feel that in the morning.

Saitoh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Duran manages to avoid it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Duran counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Duran quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Saitoh ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Duran moves away.
Duran scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Saitoh takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Saitoh gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Duran counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The cut above Masa Saitoh's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Saitoh lands a body shot.
A shot to the body from Saitoh misses
and Duran counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Saitoh fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Duran is looking to counter punch.

Duran throws a series of punches but Saitoh avoids them all with ease.
Duran looks for the body kick but Saitoh saw that one coming.
A looping hook to the body misses from Saitoh. Duran does a little dance to reset his feet.
Saitoh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Duran lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Duran catches Saitoh napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Saitoh to the canvas!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bo Duran dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Masa Saitoh's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Duran closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Saitoh! Duran dives in looking to finish! Saitoh is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bo Duran!
