Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Okoro (ranked 73 p4p, 962 weight class) and Halfdan Ragnarsson (ranked 12 p4p, 119 weight class). Okoro kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is TOP OF MY GAME. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kobe Okoro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Halfdan Ragnarsson! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ragnarsson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ragnarsson shoots in but no luck this time. Okoro scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ragnarsson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Okoro looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Nice takedown defense from Okoro. No joy for Ragnarsson on that attempt. Kobe Okoro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Halfdan Ragnarsson. Ragnarsson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Okoro doesn't manage to clinch there - Ragnarsson circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fight stays on the outside here - Okoro looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Okoro connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ragnarsson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Okoro just misses with a punch to the body.
Okoro displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ragnarsson. Ragnarsson misses with a takedown and Okoro counters with a nice uppercut. Okoro avoids the head kick by Ragnarsson.
Okoro stuffs the takedown attempt from Ragnarsson. Ragnarsson gets slowly back to his feet. Okoro appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. A leg kick checked by Okoro. Ragnarsson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Okoro seems keen to control Ragnarsson's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Okoro wants to stand up but Ragnarsson is controlling him. Ragnarsson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Okoro utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Okoro seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Ragnarsson throws a head kick but Okoro moves out of range.
And Okoro counters with a quick kick to the body but Ragnarsson blocks it. Ragnarsson throws a sloppy head kick and Okoro moves out of range easily. Ragnarsson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ragnarsson shoots in looking for a takedown but Okoro manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ragnarsson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ragnarsson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Okoro throws a lazy right hand but Ragnarsson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ragnarsson has his takedown stuffed and Ragnarsson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Okoro gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Okoro connects with a knee to the head.
Okoro lands with a left to the head. Ragnarsson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ragnarsson tries for a takedown but Okoro sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Okoro lands with a thumping leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Okoro connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ragnarsson momentarily.
Halfdan Ragnarsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ragnarsson throws a leg kick that is checked and Ragnarsson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ragnarsson tries for a takedown but Okoro circles away easily and Okoro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Okoro misses with the combination.
Okoro checks a leg kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kobe Okoro dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Okoro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Kobe Okoro is winning the standup battle so far. Ragnarsson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Okoro counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ragnarsson throws a head kick but Okoro moves out of range.
Ragnarsson throws a sloppy head kick and Okoro moves out of range easily. Ragnarsson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Okoro is fending him off so far but Ragnarsson persists. Nope, Okoro circles away and we're back to standing. Ragnarsson has his takedown stuffed and Okoro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kobe Okoro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Halfdan Ragnarsson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ragnarsson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Okoro but Okoro pushes him off and we're back to square one. A quick step to the side and Okoro tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Ragnarsson tries for a takedown but Okoro circles away easily and Okoro makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okoro slaps away a takedown attempt from Ragnarsson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ragnarsson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Ragnarsson fails with the takedown and Okoro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ragnarsson throws a leg kick that is checked and Okoro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Okoro sends Ragnarsson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Okoro is motioning to the referee to let Ragnarsson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Ragnarsson is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ragnarsson switches off momentarily and Okoro cracks him with a monster right hand! Ragnarsson topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Okoro dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Okoro!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kobe Okoro! After winning the bout, Kobe Okoro thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
