Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Swole Ricky Martin (ranked 164 p4p, 128 weight class) and Erasmo Vale Queiroz (ranked 25 p4p, 21 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 35 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Swole Ricky Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 29 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Erasmo Vale Queiroz! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin checks a leg kick. Martin on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vale Queiroz. Vale Queiroz obviously looking to wear him down.
Martin throws a lazy right hand but Vale Queiroz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Vale Queiroz ducks under a wild hook from Martin. Vale Queiroz thuds his shin into the meat of Martin's side. Martin missing with a left hand there. Vale Queiroz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Martin throws out a loose jab but Vale Queiroz uses good head movement to avoid it. Martin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vale Queiroz paws at him with a jab and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vale Queiroz misses with a body kick. Vale Queiroz throws a shot from downtown. Martin moves away and avoids it. Vale Queiroz moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Martin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vale Queiroz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

It looks like Erasmo Vale Queiroz has been cut. Vale Queiroz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Martin thinks about countering with a body kick. Martin throws a poor cross that misses
and Vale Queiroz counters with a nice body kick.
Vale Queiroz tries a head kick but it misses.
Martin looks to land a right hand but Vale Queiroz moved out of range. Martin throws an overhand right that lands on Vale Queiroz's shoulder, as Vale Queiroz tries to avoid the shot. And Vale Queiroz responds with a good body kick, but Martin manages to step out the way in time. A clash of legs there as Vale Queiroz blocks the low kick. Vale Queiroz feints a counter leg kick. Vale Queiroz clobbers Martin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Vale Queiroz lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Martin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Martin swings widly with a right hand
and Martin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Martin throws a push kick but Vale Queiroz slaps the foot to one side. Martin looks to score with a jab to the body but Vale Queiroz is just out of range. Vale Queiroz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Martin. Vale Queiroz was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Vale Queiroz moves away from the strike by Martin. Vale Queiroz now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Martin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Nice shot by Martin. Martin throws a right hand that misses
and Vale Queiroz counters with a straight right hand. Martin jabs at Vale Queiroz's body. Vale Queiroz with the inside leg kick. Vale Queiroz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Martin misses with a low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin throws a half hearted mid kick. Martin misses with a hook. Vale Queiroz looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Martin throws a low kick, looking for Vale Queiroz's leg but Vale Queiroz calmly moves out of range. Good leg kick by Martin. Martin wants to clinch up but Vale Queiroz keeps it at a distance. A slow jab from Vale Queiroz misses its intended target. A slapping body kick lands there for Vale Queiroz. Martin throws a body kick that misses and Vale Queiroz counters with a body kick that stops Martin in his tracks momentarily. Swole Ricky Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vale Queiroz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Martin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Martin avoids the body shot from Vale Queiroz.
Vale Queiroz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martin swings and misses with a shot to the body and Vale Queiroz counters with a nice uppercut. Martin swings away with a body shot that misses
letting Vale Queiroz counter with a right hand. Vale Queiroz on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
That has opened up Erasmo Vale Queiroz's cut even more. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Martin tries a low kick but Vale Queiroz avoids it. Vale Queiroz doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Vale Queiroz bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Martin's head. Vale Queiroz lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Martin misses with a low kick. Vale Queiroz blocks a jab. Vale Queiroz tries a quick counter leg kick but Martin is wise to it. Martin takes a kick to the side of the head. Martin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Erasmo Vale Queiroz dominated that round. The cut man is working on Erasmo Vale Queiroz's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Martin. Martin misses with the body kick enabling Vale Queiroz to counter with a crisp jab. Vale Queiroz lands a two punch combo.
Vale Queiroz checks the leg kick. Martin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Vale Queiroz on the wrong end of a nice jab. Martin wants to clinch but Vale Queiroz slips to the side and Vale Queiroz counters with a straight right hand. Vale Queiroz slips under a jab from Martin. Vale Queiroz follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Vale Queiroz throws an overhand right that lands on Martin's shoulder, as Martin tries to avoid the shot. A swing and a miss from Vale Queiroz. Vale Queiroz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Martin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vale Queiroz scores with a kick to the midsection. Nice uppercut lands for Vale Queiroz. That snapped Martin's head back.
Vale Queiroz has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Martin. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Martin might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Martin throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Vale Queiroz counters with a nice uppercut. Vale Queiroz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Vale Queiroz throws a combination. Martin tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Vale Queiroz throws a quick inside leg kick. Vale Queiroz blocks a low kick nicely. Martin jabbing away but nothing is landing. Vale Queiroz moves out of range of the body kick from Martin.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Martin lands a leg kick that knocks Vale Queiroz off balance momentarily. Vale Queiroz takes one on the button. A big left from Martin misses. Vale Queiroz has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Vale Queiroz throws a sloppy head kick and Martin moves out of range easily. Vale Queiroz avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Martin throws a head kick that misses and Vale Queiroz counters with a series of strikes. Martin will be more careful next time no doubt. Martin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Martin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Vale Queiroz has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Martin thumps Vale Queiroz with a low kick. Erasmo Vale Queiroz seems to be getting the better of the standup. Vale Queiroz circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Martin drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Vale Queiroz follows Martin to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
