Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Diesel (ranked 2401 p4p, 2480 weight class) and Liam Plecak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diesel comes to the cage accompanied by BROKEN DREAMS. Liam Plecak will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kurt Diesel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Liam Plecak!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plecak throws a body shot but no joy.
Plecak has taken the fight to the clinch.
Diesel has Plecak pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Diesel pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Plecak tumbling to the mat - Diesel dives into Plecak's guard.
Diesel's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Diesel postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diesel sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Diesel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Diesel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diesel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A control attempt from Plecak but he's now mounted!
Diesel sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Diesel takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Plecak tries to lock up and control but Diesel gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Plecak is desperately trying to improve his position but Diesel has a good base and remains in mount.

Diesel seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Plecak for as long as he can get away with.

Plecak wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Diesel seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Diesel is riding his opponent, not letting Plecak buck him off.
Plecak is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Diesel off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Plecak is in bad spot here.

Diesel keeps control of the position as Plecak tries to break free.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diesel has good solid back control here.
Diesel lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Plecak wants to control his opponent's hands but Diesel gets his hands free.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Diesel lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Plecak tries to clinch but Diesel is having none of it.
Diesel tries to counter with a takedown but Plecak is quick to defend against it.
Diesel misses the shot to the body.
Diesel closes the distance and clinches up with Plecak, looking for a takedown. Diesel pushes Plecak against the cage but Plecak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Diesel keeps the fight on the outside.
Plecak throws a series of punches but Diesel avoids them all with ease.
Plecak wants to clinch up but Diesel keeps it at a distance.
Diesel rushes Plecak and presses him up against the cage.
Diesel has hold of one of Plecak's legs. Plecak is fighting the takedown attempt but Diesel gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Diesel scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Diesel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Plecak tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Diesel presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Diesel prevents Plecak from getting the reversal.
Diesel avoids the attempt from Plecak to control.

Diesel manages to capitalize on a mistake by Plecak to take his back!
