Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davis Chang (ranked 1733 p4p, 2506 weight class) and Gabriel Mil (ranked 221 p4p, 298 weight class). Gabriel Mil has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Davis Chang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gabriel Mil!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mil tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chang defends well and Mil ends up having to push Chang into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Mil shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chang's guard.

Chang uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Chang drives through with a takedown into Mil's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Chang sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Chang is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mil is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mil has escaped and now he's on top!

Chang seems keen to control Mil's posture.

Mil postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Chang not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Chang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mil gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mil is fighting to break Chang's control of his arms but Chang is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Mil chips away with some ground and pound.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Chang is trying to keep Mil in close.
Mil trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Mil seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mil is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've been informed that Mil has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Mil landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Mil stalling away here and it's allowed Chang to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Chang bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mil's guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Davis Chang will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mil shoots for a double leg takedown but Chang sprawls well. He's pushed Mil's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mil throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chang is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Chang tries to buck Mil off but Mil is having none of it.
Chang takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Chang regains half guard.
Chang moves into full guard.
Chang has Mil pulled in close to control his posture.

Chang wants to sweep but no luck.
Mil with a nice head shot there.
Mil connects with a couple of short punches.

Chang has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Mil stands and throws Chang's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Chang can't do much from the bottom here.
Chang is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Chang on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Chang is pushing Mil's head away, looking to escape. Mil manages to hold on to the position though.

Mil in side control lands a decent elbow.
Mil creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Chang is rocked!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gabriel Mil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Chang shoots in for a takedown but Mil shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Chang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Chang bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mil is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Chang is looking to take a break and control but Mil is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Chang is trying to get an arm triangle but Mil is defending well.
Chang advances to mount.
Chang can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mil is looking to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chang jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mil manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mil prevents Chang from moving into mount.

And that's the end of the fight!
Davis Chang showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Chang has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
