Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Blue Gill (ranked 2208 p4p, 2367 weight class) and Felipe Montoya (ranked 186 p4p, 199 weight class). Gill comes to the cage accompanied by The Enemy - Big L. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felipe Montoya!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gill catches Montoya with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gill lands with a kick to the ribs.

Felipe Montoya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gill takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

No joy there for Montoya, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gill fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Montoya.

and Montoya connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

We've been informed that Montoya has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Blue Gill will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Montoya throws a right and a left that Gill avoids nicely.
Montoya throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Montoya in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
The crowd cheers as Montoya lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gill doesn't seem phased though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Blue Gill.
