Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Ness (ranked 2283 p4p, 2477 weight class) and Colt Lynch (ranked 271 p4p, 293 weight class). Ness's entrance music is Cocaine. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick Ness! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Colt Lynch! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ness dives in for a single leg takedown but Lynch sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Lynch gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ness.
Ness pulls guard effortlessly. Lynch would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Ness is controlling Lynch's posture. Lynch preventing the sweep. Ness definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ness is pulling down on Lynch's head to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ness is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. That's one minute gone in the round. Lynch is looking to stand up but Ness won't let him.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Ness shoots in for a takedown but Lynch shows good takedown defense. Lynch wants to counter with a clinch but Ness pushes him away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Ness. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lynch works over Ness's head and body with a nice combination. Lynch lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Ness doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lynch counters with a three punch combo that has Ness backing up. Ness nods at Lynch to acknowledge the strikes. Ness doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lynch counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ness misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Despite the aggression on Lynch's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. No luck for Lynch with that takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ness misses with a takedown and Lynch counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Lynch looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ness with a poor takedown and Lynch counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ness closes the distance and clinches up with Lynch, looking for a takedown. Ness pushes Lynch against the cage but Lynch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ness shoots and misses and Lynch counters with a nice body shot. Ness shoots in for a double leg but Lynch sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Lynch lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Lynch lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ness ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ness tries to counter with a takedown but Lynch is quick to defend against it. Ness goes for a double leg but Lynch avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lynch continues to drive forward. Lynch let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Ness misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lynch is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Ness gets control of Lynch's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ness will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Lynch wanted to stand there but Ness had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ness tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lynch trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ness's guard. Lynch wants to control from the top but Ness keeps moving. Lynch is stalling in the full guard. Lynch wants to stand and escape but instead Ness has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Ness scoring with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch wants to stand up but Ness is controlling him. Ness passes easily into side control. Nice work. You can see the frustration on Lynch's face as Ness controls the position. Ness lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Ness lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lynch down.
Ness staying calm. Lynch is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ness's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Colt Lynch dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ness fails with the takedown. Lynch is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Lynch stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lynch wants it to stay on the feet. Lynch throws a lazy right hand but Ness sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lynch uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Ness shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Ness winds up and cracks Lynch with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ness passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lynch! Ness lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ness won't let Lynch get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Ness pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lynch is bucking up trying to escape but Ness cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Ness looking to finish Lynch with some ground and pound. This is bad for Lynch! Rick Ness overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lynch tries to reverse the position but Ness maintains control. Lynch taking shots to the head. Ness landing strikes from the mount and Lynch is in trouble!
Lynch is rocked! Oooooh, big shot lands for Ness! Lynch is hurt baaadly! Ness is firing away with more strikes - Lynch is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
