Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Salvatore Coppola (ranked 2614 p4p, 1981 weight class) and Elijah Anderson (ranked 313 p4p, 238 weight class). Coppola comes to the cage accompanied by Duality. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 38 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Salvatore Coppola! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Elijah Anderson! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Anderson lands in his opponent's guard. Coppola has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Anderson has passed into side control.
Coppola tries to get back to half guard but can't. Coppola wants to control but Anderson postures up. Coppola is looking for a sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Coppola tries to buck Anderson off but Anderson is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coppola is trying to control Anderson's posture but Anderson avoids it. Coppola is trying to get back to half guard. Coppola is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Coppola is trying to get back to full guard. Anderson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. It looks like Anderson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Coppola wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Coppola looking for submissions off his back. Anderson wants to free his trapped foot but Coppola is holding on for dear life with his legs. Coppola is trying to get back to full guard. Anderson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Anderson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Coppola is trying to defend but Anderson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Anderson is thwarting Coppola's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coppola is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Coppola is trying to maintain the position but Anderson is very close to passing his half guard. Anderson slows the pace down in half guard. Coppola wants to get back to full guard but Anderson has mounted him! Anderson looking to control and managing it successfully. Anderson avoids the attempt from Coppola to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Coppola manages to regain half guard. Good work. Coppola is looking to improve his position.
Coppola slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Anderson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Coppola is trying to improve his position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You can see the frustration on Coppola's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah Anderson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Anderson gets a double leg takedown into Coppola's guard. Anderson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Coppola wants to sweep but no luck. Anderson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Coppola is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Coppola wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Anderson is now in half guard.

Anderson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson is controlling the pace.
Coppola has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Anderson is working away from the top position though. Anderson is taking a breather. Coppola says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Coppola tries to get to full guard but Anderson has control of the leg. Coppola is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Anderson pulls his head out easily. Coppola wants to get back to full guard. Anderson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Anderson passes to side control. Anderson controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coppola tries to bench press Anderson off him but Anderson keeps the position. Anderson controlling from side mount.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Anderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Coppola looking for subs off his back but Anderson has passed one foot through into half guard.
Anderson works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coppola regains half guard. Coppola has a hand on Anderson's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Anderson takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Coppola is looking to improve his position but Anderson isn't that keen on the idea. Anderson controlling from the full mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Coppola wants to control but Anderson is having none of it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Anderson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Coppola on his heels. He'll look to pass Coppola's guard now, I'm sure. Coppola looking to control.
Anderson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Coppola is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Anderson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Coppola being controlled here, momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coppola throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Anderson escapes and throws Coppola's legs to the side, diving into side control! Coppola is looking to reverse the position.

Anderson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Coppola is looking for a sweep. A lull in the action here as Anderson stalls from top position.

Anderson pulls Coppola in to control the position. Coppola throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Coppola trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom. Coppola will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Coppola gets to his feet - Anderson follows without any prompting. Coppola gets caught napping as Anderson dives in and scores a takedown. Coppola manages to retain guard. Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Coppola is retaining full guard. Coppola looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anderson is one step ahead there. Coppola has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Coppola looking for a sweep. Not yet Coppola, not yet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Coppola throws his legs up looking for a submission but Anderson uses it to pass to side control.
Coppola is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Anderson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
And that's the end of the fight! Elijah Anderson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Anderson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
