Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tayaen Porfirigo (ranked 1513 p4p, 1585 weight class) and Sergey Bakarow (ranked 191 p4p, 200 weight class). Sergey Bakarow acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tayaen Porfirigo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergey Bakarow! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bakarow closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Porfirigo to the mat! Porfirigo manages to get full guard. Porfirigo manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Bakarow effectively controlling the action here. Bakarow will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Porfirigo up against the cage. Bakarow jumps guard but Porfirigo turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Bakarow manages to break the clinch.

Bakarow looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Porfirigo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Porfirigo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bakarow keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bakarow trying to get back to full guard but Porfirigo takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Porfirigo tries to control but Bakarow wriggling away. Porfirigo avoids the attempt from Bakarow to control. Porfirigo trying to control but Bakarow is having none of it. Bakarow gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bakarow tries to roll over but Porfirigo keeps him under control. Porfirigo is trying to work for a kimura but Bakarow is defending well.
Bakarow works his way to full guard. Good work. Porfirigo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bakarow is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bakarow has escaped and now he's on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bakarow throwing strikes but missing. Porfirigo seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Porfirigo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bakarow wants to get back to full guard. Bakarow has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Porfirigo is working away from the top position though. Porfirigo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Porfirigo decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Bakarow lands a head kick!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Porfirigo scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Porfirigo is working for a kimura but Bakarow is defending it quite comfortably.
Bakarow tries to get to full guard but Porfirigo has control of the leg. Porfirigo missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tayaen Porfirigo will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Porfirigo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bakarow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Porfirigo, pushing him back against the cage. The referee calls for Bakarow to work.
Porfirigo prevents a body shot from Bakarow. Bakarow goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bakarow jumps guard.
Porfirigo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Porfirigo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bakarow working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Porfirigo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bakarow bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Porfirigo's guard. Bakarow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Porfirigo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bakarow would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Porfirigo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bakarow manages to get himself to full guard.
Bakarow wants to improve his position but instead Porfirigo has moved into half guard.
Porfirigo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bakarow doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Porfirigo. Porfirigo is working for a submission of some sort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bakarow is looking to escape. Porfirigo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bakarow's head. Bakarow wants to get back to his feet. Bakarow keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Porfirigo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bakarow is just riding it out for now. Porfirigo eventually gives up the hold.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bakarow tries to get to full guard but Porfirigo has control of the leg. Porfirigo stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Bakarow to get to his feet. Bakarow tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bakarow closes the distance and clinches. Knees in the clinch landing for Bakarow.
Bakarow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bakarow lands with a kick to the temple. Porfirigo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Bakarow shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Porfirigo as he avoids it easily. Sergey Bakarow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Porfirigo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bakarow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bakarow shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Porfirigo sprawls well. Porfirigo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bakarow gets slowly back to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Sergey Bakarow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round! No luck with that takedown attempt from Porfirigo. Porfirigo sets himself, and Bakarow steps forward looking for the clinch! Porfirigo avoids it this time. Bakarow instigates a clinch. Porfirigo is looking for a takedown. Bakarow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Porfirigo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bakarow was covering up waiting for the punch and Porfirigo finishes the takedown easily into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Porfirigo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Porfirigo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bakarow works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tayaen Porfirigo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Porfirigo wants to control from the top but Bakarow keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bakarow is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Porfirigo is controlling him. Bakarow is pulling down on Porfirigo's head. It's preventing any offense from Porfirigo, at least for the moment. Bakarow not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Porfirigo postures up in Bakarow's guard and throws a big left but Bakarow blocks it. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Porfirigo trying to control but Bakarow is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Porfirigo fails to land the takedown. Bakarow wants to counter with a clinch but Porfirigo pushes him away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tayaen Porfirigo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bakarow shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Porfirigo as he avoids it easily. Porfirigo keeps the fight on the outside. It looked like Porfirigo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Porfirigo misses with a takedown attempt - Bakarow sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tayaen Porfirigo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Porfirigo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bakarow throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bakarow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bakarow takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bakarow fails in his attempt to clinch. It looked like Porfirigo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Porfirigo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Porfirigo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bakarow has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Porfirigo has managed to get both his arms back between Bakarow's legs - danger averted. Porfirigo trying to control the position from guard on top but Bakarow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Porfirigo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bakarow kicks Porfirigo off and gets to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bakarow shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Porfirigo defends it nicely. The fight stays on the outside here - Bakarow looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bakarow closes this distance looking for a takedown but Porfirigo circles away. A big right from Porfirigo misses. Despite the aggression on Bakarow's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bakarow is looking to clinch but Porfirigo is avoiding it.
Sergey Bakarow seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bakarow drives through and clinches with Porfirigo against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tayaen Porfirigo. I think Porfirigo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
