Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adan Puno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mabuz Bacia!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bacia moves out of range of the body kick.
Puno takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Adan Puno has been cut.
Bacia misses with a wild combination.
A slapping body kick lands there for Puno.
Puno feints and then cracks Bacia's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bacia down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bacia throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Puno tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Bacia manages to circle out of the way.
Bacia connects with a good right hand that stumbles Puno. Puno circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Puno sizes up Bacia with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Mabuz Bacia has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bacia lands with a slapping head kick.
Good standup being displayed there by Bacia as he connects with a hook.
Adan Puno's cut is getting worse.
Puno bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Puno throws a hook but Bacia avoids it easily.
Bacia throws out a loose jab but Puno uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bacia jabs Puno to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bacia. Puno does a little dance to reset his feet.
A quick step to the side and Puno tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bacia lands a big right hand that sends Puno crashing to the mat! Bacia stays standing though and waves Puno back to his feet!
Puno is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bacia feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Puno crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mabuz Bacia!
After winning the bout, Mabuz Bacia thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
