Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Shaw (ranked 2353 p4p, 1550 weight class) and Jørgen Thrane (ranked 279 p4p, 198 weight class). Shaw comes to the cage accompanied by Elvis Costello - My Mood Swings. Jørgen Thrane has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Danny Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jørgen Thrane!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw pushes Thrane up against the cage in a clinch.
Shaw gets control of Thrane's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shaw will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Shaw feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Thrane manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Thrane lands a really nice looking cross but Shaw seems unphased.
Thrane looks to land a body kick but Shaw moved away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Look low, kick high! Thrane uses the oldest trick in the book to send Shaw tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Thrane is absolutely delighted - when Shaw wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
