Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Dux (ranked 209 p4p, 605 weight class) and James Darwin (ranked 32 p4p, 86 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Frank Dux has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Dux! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Darwin! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dux is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Darwin. Dux looks to land a right hand but Darwin moved out of range. Darwin slips under a jab. A lazy left from Dux finds it's target. Darwin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dux. Dux moves into range and connects with a jab. Dux jabs Darwin to the body, keeping him at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Darwin is looking to clinch. Darwin fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dux digs a good body shot into Darwin's ribs. Darwin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dux sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Darwin somewhat. Dux appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Darwin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Darwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Dux is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Darwin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Darwin lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Darwin is looking to work some ground and pound but Dux has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Darwin lands a couple of digs. Dux wants to get back to his feet but Darwin is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dux has his hands on Darwin's head, controlling the position. Darwin is looking to work some ground and pound but Dux has wrist control. Darwin won't allow Dux to sweep him here. Darwin with a nice head shot there. Dux is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Darwin is controlling him. Darwin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dux is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dux prevents the takedown attempt.
Frank Dux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Darwin.

Darwin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dux is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Dux breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Darwin will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dux appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Dux looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Darwin jabs Dux to the body, keeping him at a distance. Darwin fails with the takedown and Dux counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Dux jabs at Darwin's body. Darwin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like James Darwin has been cut. Dux scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Darwin doesn't seem bothered though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Darwin checks the leg kick. Darwin with the counter takedown but Dux avoids it easily. Dux throws a right hand that Darwin ducks under and follows up with a left that Darwin also avoids with ease. Dux scores with a crisp jab that stopped Darwin in his tracks. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dux fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Darwin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Darwin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dux sprawls well. Dux wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Darwin gets slowly back to his feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Darwin. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Dux dominated that round. The cut man is working on James Darwin's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Darwin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dux sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Darwin somewhat. Dux takes a swing at Darwin's ribcage but misses. Darwin shoots in and gets a takedown into Dux's guard. Dux is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Darwin can do to turn this around? Dux utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dux not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dux is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Dux stalling. Darwin trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Still in half guard, Dux seems content to control. Dux trying to control from half guard but Darwin is working away. Dux wants to stand but Darwin has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Darwin manages to get to full guard.
Darwin has his feet on Dux's thighs here. He's pushed Dux off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Dux screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, James Darwin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
