Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Geoffe Wansley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Nakamura!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wansley shoots in for a takedown but Nakamura shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Wansley has Nakamura up against the cage in a clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Geoffe Wansley will probably get the nod.

Wansley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nakamura sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wansley somewhat.
Nakamura unleashes a big counter combination but Wansley bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Wansley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nakamura was covering up waiting for the punch and Wansley finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nakamura is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wansley is controlling him.

We've been informed that Nakamura has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Wansley is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nakamura is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Wansley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nakamura, pushing him back against the cage.
Nakamura jumps guard but Wansley stands there with Nakamura around his waist. Nakamura gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Well Wansley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
