Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sumbu Kalambay (ranked 309 p4p, 179 weight class) and Wille Thai (ranked 45 p4p, 25 weight class). Sumbu Kalambay had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sumbu Kalambay ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 37 - 24 - 0, fighting out of London, Wille Thai! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Thai misses with a takedown attempt and Kalambay counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Thai closes the distance and clinches up with Kalambay , looking for a takedown. Thai pushes Kalambay against the cage but Kalambay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A quick step to the side and Kalambay tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Thai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kalambay avoids it really well and circles away. Kalambay is looking to counter with head kicks. Sumbu Kalambay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wille Thai. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
