Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tian Long (ranked 1505 p4p, 1496 weight class) and Glacius Frank (ranked 189 p4p, 187 weight class). Glacius Frank struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long misses with a body shot.
Frank steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Long.
Frank with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Long to score with a decent uppercut.

Long has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sydney Top Team in the buildup to the fight.
Frank bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Frank throws a leg kick that misses.
Frank is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Long takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Tian Long has been cut.

and Long counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Long lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Frank circles away quickly and effectively.
Frank throws a sloppy head kick and Long moves out of range easily.
Long ducks right into an uppercut from Frank.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Long counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Frank thinking.

Long lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Frank circles away quickly and effectively.
Long throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Frank counters with a nice uppercut.
Frank slips a jab from Long.
Long takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Frank lands a big head kick that sends Long tumbling to the mat! Frank takes a step backwards and waves Long back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Frank throws a body shot but no joy.

A big right from Frank misses.
Long connects with a combination that backs up Frank into the cage. Long lands a flurry of punches that gets past Frank's guard. Frank is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Long bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tian Long!
Tian Long seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
