The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing reports that Pfanne has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Martinez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Martinez misses the shot to the body.
Pfanne closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Martinez to the mat! Martinez manages to get full guard.
Pfanne postures up and lands a big shot to Martinez's brow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Martinez pushes a forearm under Pfanne's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Pfanne is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
