Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manta Ray (ranked 24334 p4p, 3311 weight class) and Oliver Ewing (ranked 492 p4p, 387 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Manta Ray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oliver Ewing! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Ewing, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ewing chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ray can pounce on him.
Ray takes one to the side of the head.
It looks like Manta Ray has been cut. Ewing misses with a hook. Ray uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ewing. Ewing waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ray. Ray slips a jab from Ewing. Ray definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ewing lands a big uppercut and Ray crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ray looks OK. Ewing waves Ray back to his feet!
Ray is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ewing pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ewing looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Ewing misses with a double jab
so Ray counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ray slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ewing not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ewing wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ray manages to pass to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ray looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Still in half guard, Ray seems content to control. Ewing is looking for a sweep. Ray is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ray looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ray is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ewing doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ray.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ray in particular looking to stall. Ray wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ewing keeps working. Ray is looking for a kimura but Ewing is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ray to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ewing is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ewing can do anything to dispel that myth. Ray seems to be working for a kimura but Ewing defends the submission attempt. Ewing wants to get back to full guard but Ray has passed into side control. Ewing struggling a bit here. Ewing tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ray wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ewing really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ray wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ewing, who protects the arm well.

That was a close round but I would say that Manta Ray will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Manta Ray's cut. That's time! Ray's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ray uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ewing.

Ewing fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ray manages to avoid it. Ray feinted with a counter takedown. Ray slips a jab from Ewing. Ewing scores with a sloppy right hand. Ray should have avoided that one. Ewing scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Oh Ray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ewing misses with a hook. Ray slips a straight right by Ewing. Ray seems to have got his legs back now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ewing sends Ray crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ewing is motioning to the referee to let Ray up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! This has been an exciting period of action! Ewing swings for the body but Ray moves out of range.
Ewing connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ray. Ray circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A chopping leg kick lands by Ewing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ray attempts a counter takedown but Ewing avoids it well and moves away. Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Ewing! This one is all over!
