Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reese Remington (ranked 783 p4p, 704 weight class) and Xicko Loco (ranked 100 p4p, 87 weight class). Loco is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Memphis Cult, Groove Dealers, SPLYXER - 9mm. Xicko Loco has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Reese Remington's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reese Remington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xicko Loco! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loco cracks Remington with an open hand slap. The fighters circling - Loco throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Remington feinted with a counter takedown. Remington uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Loco. Xicko Loco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Remington misses with a looping left. Remington looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Remington defending well as Loco loads up on a big left hand. and Remington counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Remington throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Loco on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Loco trying to control but Remington postures up.
Loco might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Remington haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Remington seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Loco is trying to get back to full guard. Remington is working for a kimura but Loco is defending it quite comfortably.

Remington is working Loco over with some ground and pound from side control. Loco is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Remington looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Loco felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Remington looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Loco keeping moving, preventing Remington from controlling successfully. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Loco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Remington moves out of range and avoids them all easily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Reese Remington dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Remington darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Loco throws an overhand right that lands on Remington's shoulder, as Remington tries to avoid the shot. Remington is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Loco can do to turn this around? Loco gets caught napping as Remington dives in and scores a takedown. Loco manages to retain guard. Loco looking to hit a scissor sweep but Remington is one step ahead there. Remington trying to control but Loco is working from the bottom. Loco controlling Remington's posture. Loco is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Loco is looking to sweep but instead, Remington has passed into half guard.

It looks like Xicko Loco has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Remington avoids the attempt from Loco to control. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Remington cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Remington looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Loco with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Remington drops an elbow to the side of Loco's head. Reese Remington overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Remington is nestled in close to Loco, controlling him well.
