And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yu Liang!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters wants to clinch up but Liang keeps it at a distance.
Liang swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Nice takedown defense from Liang. No joy for Waters on that attempt.
A countering left hand to the body from Liang misses.
Waters tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Liang counters with a crisp right hand that drops Waters! Liang lets Waters back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Mario Waters has been cut.
Waters fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Liang swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Waters shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Liang scores with a counter punch that sends Waters to the canvas! Liang smells blood - he's punishing Waters with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Waters has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yu Liang!
