Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bai Li (ranked 1962 p4p, 1360 weight class) and Shawn Silvia (ranked 217 p4p, 158 weight class). Silvia is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I'd Love to knock the hell out of you. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bai Li!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Silvia!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Silvia misses with a hook to the body
and Li counters with a single leg into guard. Silvia didn't expect that.
Li trying to control the position from guard on top but Silvia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Li passes Silvia's left leg - he's now in half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silvia can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Li is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Li gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Li gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Li apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Silvia looks to land a combination but Li avoids it well.
Silvia lands with an uppercut that bounces Li off the cage and back into range.
Li ducks under a wild hook from Silvia.
Silvia lands a nice hook to Li's body. Li takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Silvia misses with an uppercut.
Li drops down looking for a counter takedown but Silvia sprawls and moves away.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bai Li dominated that round.
That's time! Li's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Silvia moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Silvia throws a right and a left that both miss.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Silvia, as that shot connected.
Silvia swings for the body but Li moves out of range.
Li feinted with a counter takedown.
Silvia throws a jab but it's blocked by Li.
Li takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Silvia misses with a hook
and Li counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Silvia keeping moving, preventing Li from controlling successfully.
Li keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Silvia's head.
Li is in close to Silvia's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Li trying to control but Silvia is working from the bottom.

Li cracks Silvia with a solid left hand.
Bai Li overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Li postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Li loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Li lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Silvia wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Li is now in half guard.
Li takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Li seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silvia for as long as he can get away with.

Silvia has hold of Li's hands but Li slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Li looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Li postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silvia looks a forlorn figure.
Silvia wants to control but Li is having none of it.
Li lands a heavy elbow.

Li postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Silvia in real trouble here! The ref calls for Silvia to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

An out of breath Bai Li thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Shawn Silvia spoke after the fight, saying 'I had COVID.'.
