Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Averescu (ranked 4199 p4p, 2947 weight class) and Balink Tarlah (ranked 419 p4p, 330 weight class). Averescu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 45 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Averescu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 37 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Balink Tarlah! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Averescu misses. Tarlah shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Tarlah working over Averescu with some ground and pound. Averescu looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Averescu is trying to get back to full guard. Tarlah takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Tarlah working the head and body with strikes.
