Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Fries (ranked 329 p4p, 431 weight class) and Temujin Namkhai (ranked 21 p4p, 29 weight class). Namkhai has chosen Batzorig Vaanchig - Mongolian Throat Singing as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Victor Fries !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Temujin Namkhai!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fries misses with an uppercut. Namkhai saw that one coming.
Namkhai flicks out a counter leg kick but Fries steps away.
Fries lands a jab to the nose.
Fries misses with a looping right.
Namkhai digs a good body shot into Fries 's ribs.
Nice defenses there by Namkhai.
Fries sizes up Namkhai with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Temujin Namkhai has been cut.
Fries thuds a left hand into Namkhai's body.

Namkhai throws out a counter right but Fries avoids it with no problem.
Fries throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Namkhai counter with a right hand.
We've been told by Fries 's head coaches at KO MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Fries will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Namkhai doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fries connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Fries lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fries is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Namkhai counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

and Namkhai makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Fries throws an overhand right that lands on Namkhai's shoulder, as Namkhai tries to avoid the shot.
A little jabbing left from Namkhai on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Fries throws a lazy uppercut
and Namkhai counters with a crisp right hand that drops Fries ! Namkhai lets Fries back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Fries is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Namkhai steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fries .

Fries throws out a loose jab but Namkhai uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fries seems to have got his legs back now.
Fries swings widly with a right hand
and Namkhai counters with a nice body kick.
Are you kidding me?! Namkhai ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Fries clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
