Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nakachi Tadageru (ranked 260 p4p, 512 weight class) and Abel Hug (ranked 26 p4p, 49 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nakachi Tadageru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abel Hug!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tadageru moves into the clinch.
Hug lands a right hand.
Tadageru has Hug pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hug manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Tadageru wants to take the fight to the mat but Hug manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Hug tries to work over Tadageru's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Tadageru has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hug is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hug felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Tadageru is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Sydney Top Team that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tadageru connects with a nice short shot to Hug's temple.

Tadageru has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tadageru accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tadageru has control of Hug's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hug regains control of the situation pretty easily.
