Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James King (ranked 936 p4p, 782 weight class) and Marcus Shakes (ranked 92 p4p, 74 weight class). Shakes has chosen About the Money- T.I. as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shakes moves out of range of the body kick from King.
King moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've been told by King's head coaches at Crapollas Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Shakes works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

King throws a counter high kick but Shakes was just alert enough to avoid it.

Shakes has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles King - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Shakes, and another! King is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

Marcus Shakes really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Hype Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
