Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Herbert Kreischer (ranked 177 p4p, 3509 weight class) and Hans Schultz (ranked 25 p4p, 377 weight class). Kreischer comes to the cage accompanied by Bert Learns To Hip-Hop Dance To Post Malone. The crowd seem to be enjoying Schultz's choice of entrance music: Love Bites. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 38 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Herbert Kreischer! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hans Schultz! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Darius Henderson and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schultz moves out of range as Kreischer strikes. Kreischer fails to land with a series of punches.
Kreischer slips a straight right by Schultz. Kreischer connects with the punch. Schultz looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Schultz looks to score with a jab to the body but Kreischer is just out of range. Schultz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Schultz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kreischer throws out the jab. Kreischer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kreischer throws a combination that misses and Schultz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kreischer scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kreischer throws the left hand but Schultz avoids the punch easily. Kreischer moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Kreischer takes the fight into the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kreischer lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Schultz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

I was talking to Kreischer's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A right hand to the body from Kreischer.
Schultz has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Kreischer lands a hook that snaps the head of Schultz backwards. Kreischer scores with a shoulder strike. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kreischer here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
