Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Irving (ranked 2640 p4p, 2193 weight class) and Kamari Daugherty (ranked 302 p4p, 259 weight class). Daugherty comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Loading kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kamari Daugherty has the better chin. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edwin Irving!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kamari Daugherty!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irving ducks under a wild hook from Daugherty.
The fighters circling - Daugherty throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Irving staying out of range there.
Irving looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
A decent looking cross lands there for Daugherty.
Good shot there by Daugherty.
Irving throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Daugherty counters with a straight right hand.
Irving is rocked!
Daugherty looks to land a right hand but Irving moved out of range.
Irving connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Irving tried to score with a low kick but Daugherty checks it.
Irving throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Daugherty scores with a counter punch that sends Irving to the canvas! Daugherty smells blood - he's punishing Irving with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Irving has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kamari Daugherty!
