Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kemar Powell (ranked 511 p4p, 464 weight class) and Takehiko Hidaka (ranked 67 p4p, 61 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Powell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lil Baby & Lil Durk - Hats Off. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kemar Powell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Takehiko Hidaka! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Powell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Powell lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hidaka throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Powell throws a leg kick and Hidaka counters with a good low kick that Powell was not able to check. Powell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Powell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Powell throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hidaka counters with a straight right hand. Powell misses with a hook to the body
and Hidaka counters with a nice uppercut. Powell swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hidaka counters with a stiff right hand. Powell lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hidaka's sensitive parts. Powell with a body punch. A glancing blow. Powell plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Powell on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Hidaka attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Hidaka swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Powell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hidaka.

Hidaka takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Powell throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Powell is looking to wear down Hidaka with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Powell throws a body shot but no joy. Hidaka connects with a body shot. A slapping leg kick lands for Powell.
Powell loads up on a big right hand but Hidaka slips the punch. Powell looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Powell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hidaka.

Powell throws a body punch but Hidaka moves out of range. Hidaka throws a leg kick and Powell counters with a nice body shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A slow jab from Hidaka misses its intended target. Powell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hidaka. Powell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hidaka throws a counter combo. Powell ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Nice body punch from Powell. Powell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hidaka was well out of range. Poor timing from Powell. Hidaka appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hidaka throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Powell tries to counter by clinching up but Hidaka breaks away and moves out of range. Hidaka misses with a left hand and Powell counters with a good low kick that Hidaka was not able to check. Hidaka throws a shot from downtown. Powell moves away and avoids it. Kemar Powell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Powell throws a body punch but Hidaka moves out of range. Hidaka with the inside leg kick. Powell misses with a low kick.

Powell throws a body punch but Hidaka moves out of range. Powell feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hidakas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hidaka checks the leg kick nicely there.

Hidaka takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Powell misses with a jab to the body

and Hidaka counters with a straight right hand. Hidaka thows a leg kick but Powell checks it and Powell counters with a stiff right hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kemar Powell dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Hidaka connects with a solid leg kick. Hidaka gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Powell. Hidaka stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Powell. Kemar Powell is winning the standup battle so far. Powell just misses with a punch to the body.
A good leg kick by Hidaka. Powell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Hidaka throws a leg kick which misses Powell's front leg but catches the back leg as Powell tries to avoid it. Hidaka throws a leg kick but Powell moved away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A low kick from Powell misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. A big right from Hidaka misses. Powell tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hidaka manages to circle out of the way. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Hidaka might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Powell has got the better of the exchanges. Powell with a jab. A low kick from Powell is predictable there and Hidaka counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Powell tries to counter by clinching up but Hidaka breaks away and moves out of range. Hidaka's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Powell thuds his right hand into Hidaka's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Powell with a nice calf kick. Hidaka swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hidaka lands the left hand. Powell throws a front kick aimed at Hidaka's knee but Hidaka avoids it well. It seemed like Hidaka was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Powell slips a jab from Hidaka. A slapping body kick lands there for Powell. Powell lands a jab to Hidaka's midsection. Hidaka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Powell.
Powell tries to work over Hidaka's front leg with a kick but Hidaka checks it. Powell fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hidaka is out of range. Hidaka is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Powell tests Hidaka's chin there with a solid looking shot. Powell throws a leg kick that is checked enabling Hidaka to counter with a crisp jab. Hidaka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hidaka moves out of range of the leg kick from Powell. Donk. Powell catches Hidaka right on the button with a cross. Hidaka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Powell was well out of range. Poor timing from Hidaka.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Powell checks a leg kick nicely. As Hidaka backs away, Powell returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Powell fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hidaka has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Powell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hidaka. Powell feints and then cracks Hidaka's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hidaka down. Hidaka on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Powell wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Powell swings away with a leg kick that misses. Powell misses with a hook to the body
and Hidaka counters with a straight right hand. Hidaka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Powell manages to avoid it. That was a close second round but I would say that Kemar Powell will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Powell scores with a hook to the body. Hidaka takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Takehiko Hidaka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hidaka misses with a leg kick. Powell cracks Hidaka with a good jab. Hidaka has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Powell finds it's way round the side to connect with Hidaka's head. Powell clobbers Hidaka with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Hidaka is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Powell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A clash of legs there as Powell blocks the low kick. It looked like Powell was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Hidaka. Hidaka throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Powell tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hidaka is able to avoid easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell moves out of range of the strikes. Hidaka throws a low kick, looking for Powell's leg but Powell calmly moves out of range. Powell seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Hidaka on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Powell. Powell obviously looking to wear him down.
Hidaka punishes Powell's body with a nice straight punch. Hidaka lands a big head kick that sends Powell tumbling to the mat! Hidaka takes a step backwards and waves Powell back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Kemar Powell has been cut. Hidaka throws a hook to the side of Powell's head but Powell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Powell scores with a nice strike. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Powell throws a leg kick and Hidaka scores with a counter punch that sends Powell to the canvas! Hidaka smells blood - he's punishing Powell with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Powell has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takehiko Hidaka! After winning the bout, Takehiko Hidaka thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
