Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between JD Drake (ranked 618 p4p, 627 weight class) and Surkho Dratchev (ranked 85 p4p, 88 weight class). Drake comes to the cage accompanied by Born in the USA by - Bruce Springstein. Dratchev is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Schweine by Glukoza Nostra. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Surkho Dratchev enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, JD Drake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Surkho Dratchev! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dratchev jabs Drake right on the nose. Drake blinks but takes it well.
It looks like JD Drake has been cut. Drake throws a big shot that misses. Drake lands a jab to the nose.
It looks like Surkho Dratchev has been cut. JD Drake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dratchev swinging wildly here.
It looked like Drake wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Drake has been working on his boxing with his coaches at California Top Team in the buildup to the fight. Drake avoids a punch combination nicely.
Drake leaves Dratchev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Drake misses with a shot to the body and Dratchev counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dratchev slips a jab and a cross from Drake.
Dratchev throws a counter combo. Dratchev ducks under a wild hook from Drake. Dratchev has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Drake stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Dratchev misses with an uppercut. Drake saw that one coming. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Drake scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Drake misses with a double jab
and Dratchev makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Drake will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Drake misses with an uppercut. Dratchev saw that one coming. A nice leg kick lands there from Dratchev. Dratchev sizes up Drake with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big left from Dratchev misses. Drake swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Dratchev throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Drake stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Dratchev follows into mount! Dratchev punching from mount but Drake doing a good job of avoiding damage. Dratchev can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Drake is looking to escape. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dratchev controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drake wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Dratchev.
Dratchev goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Drake is on top in guard.
Drake gets to his feet - Dratchev follows without any prompting. Good exchange - Dratchev coming out on top.
JD Drake's cut is getting worse. Dratchev drives through with a takedown into guard. Dratchev won't allow Drake to get back to his feet. Dratchev trying to control the position from guard on top but Drake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dratchev decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Drake, up you get!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dratchev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dratchev gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Drake with a hook. Drake misses with a series of wild punches.
Drake misses with a hook. The fighters circling - Drake throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dratchev feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Drakes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Dratchev misses with a wild combination.
Drake scores with a jab to the head.
Drake uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dratchev. Dratchev sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Drake to the ground! Dratchev dives into full mount looking to finish!
Drake is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dratchev is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Dratchev extends the arm and Drake is forced to tap!
