Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Blankenship (ranked 1862 p4p, 2448 weight class) and Jean Luc Gaspard (ranked 139 p4p, 166 weight class). Blankenship's entrance music is MXC Most Extreme Challenge. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blankenship dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gaspard throws a good cross that connects.
Blankenship throws a sloppy body shot
and Gaspard counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Blankenship thinking.
Blankenship tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kenny Blankenship seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blankenship throws a jab but it's blocked by Gaspard.
Blankenship throws the left hand but Gaspard avoids the punch easily.
Gaspard waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Blankenship.
Blankenship tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gaspard manages to circle out of the way.
Gaspard avoids the body shot from Blankenship.
Gaspard takes one on the button.
Gaspard uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Blankenship throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gaspard sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gaspard swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gaspard. Blankenship does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gaspard moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gaspard keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blankenship's corner calls for a 1-2. Blankenship obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Gaspard is rocked!
Blankenship steps in with a hook that catches Gaspard right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Blankenship follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Gaspard looks absolutely devastated.

After winning the bout, Kenny Blankenship thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
