Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jin Matsushima (ranked 467 p4p, 458 weight class) and Landin Durham (ranked 45 p4p, 43 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Matsushima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Landin Durham!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durham fails with the takedown
and Matsushima counters with a two punch combo.
Matsushima stuffs the takedown.
Durham shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Matsushima pinned against the cage. Matsushima gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Matsushima was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Jin Matsushima has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Landin Durham.
Durham throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Matsushima was covering up waiting for the punch and Durham finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
